Update

As you may have guessed..... I have abandoned this project.  And by abandoned I mean threw it against the wall and stomped on it into a pulp.  :)  I think I'll be restarting a similar project of 52 weeks of photos with one picture a week.  I'm hoping to start either on my birthday or the start of 2011, so keep an eye out for that.  I'm hoping my hatred for the project will have died off by then.  Thanks to those who have still stuck around. :)

I am obsessed with clovers.  For my important races in high school, my dad would find me a 4-leaf clover to wear in my shoe.  I always glance at this patch looking for some more 4-leaf clovers.

I'm not sure what you'd call this body of water that stems off of the river. I always sucked at memorizing those. Anyway, it's gross and covered in algae, but I think it's beautiful because it's green.  Just hold your breath while observing. :)

My inspiration for this project is becoming a crap shoot.  Bed time.

58/365

So I'm a cheater mccheaterson. I forgot to take a picture, and this is one I forgot I took about 2 weeks ago, and used a crappy one instead.  Please forgive me.  :)

We tend to have some gorgeous sunsets after storms.

So I know this is only one photo a day, but I like this one, and then the super edited version of it.  While on a bike ride out of town, the clouds cleared up a bit to let the sun shine through.  I love that the rays are barely peaking through the top right corner.

I got some new kicks.  First time I've broken away from Asics Nimbus shoes in 7+ years.  They make me look fast, right? :)

I bought this reusable bag on my yarn run today.  It says Craft, Create, and Conserve.  Love.

The to-go presentation is not nearly as beautiful as the in-person version, but delicious tasting nonetheless.  Sushi:  two shrimp, two salmon, two tuna.  Two spicy tuna handrolls.  Eight california rolls.  Salad.  Miso Soup.  [Not pictured:  Shrimp tempura roll.....droool].  And this typically lasts me 2-3 meals.  Tummy and tastebuds were happy!

52/365

This was actually much more beautiful in person than I was able to capture on camera. The sun through the red leaves made the tree look like it was on fire.  I love fall.

51/365

So I held my first gun on Monday....for approximately 5 1/2 seconds before it freaked me out.  I decided to make the bullets as non-threatening as possible by making them appear pink and pretty.  I also used them to craft a star-shaped design but this was my favorite.

To help fill the void that the season finale of True Blood has brought in to my life, I've started reading the books.  I don't think they'll last me through next spring, but it's better than nothing.

Not sure why this is so pretty to me.  I'd love to make artwork out of old bike gears.

I do not like when the moon is in the sky before I'm done with work.  Pooh pooh.

One of my favorite bridges on my running route reflected (partially) in a puddle after the massive downpour we had.

My newest babies before they get to go to their new homes. :(  The toddler scarf on the bottom has got to be the cutest thing *ever.*

I completed half marathon #9 Sunday morning and my 6th Sioux Falls Half.

Yellow submarine sculpture downtown as part of the Sculpture Walk.

41/365

Meet up with some folks from Daily Mile.  Unfortunately I didn't realize my camera was on super duper insanity flash mode, so you can't see the orange image on the right:  a cowbell with the daily mile logo on it made by Joseph.  Super cool.  Ready to go for Sunday's half!

My first attempt at roasting Brussels sprouts.  It was love.  The lingering smell in my apartment....not so much love....

38/365

I've been staring at this little sticky note for the past few weeks now:  my goal time for the half marathon this weekend.  I also had to include one of my Team Green buttons from my fan club.  :)

57/365

After my long run, I whipped up a mango, blueberry, strawberry protein smoothie.  Ignore the dirt clumps on my floor. This was taken right where I track in mud from my runs, obvs.

37/365

I'm going to be honest, Monday is the first day that I forgot to take a photo.  I realized it this morning when I laced up my running shoes.  So I took an extra for Tuesday's photo.  One of my favorite sculptures outside of my library.  These are a few of my favorite things:  books, ice cream, puppies.

First and last bonfire of the summer.  Toasting to the sweaty months.

35/365

My idea of a great Saturday night:  pricing/taking inventory of colors of yarn at local stores for my new scarf business.  Barnes & Noble reading up on business ideas for crafty shizz, plenty of note taking, and some fitness magazines.  All I was missing was a Starbucks.  Stupid budget.

34/365

Lately I've been pondering picking up a second job to pay for my running/racing addiction.  This afternoon I had a flash of genius, and Scarves for PRs (Personal Records) was born.  Tonight I created my first infinity scarf that I adore.  Will be making and selling custom scarfs so let me know if you're interested!

33/365

One of my top 5 favorite possessions. I would sleep with it around my neck if it wasn't a strangulation threat.

32/365

Finally got the Coldstone I've been craving for weeks.
Cake batter ice cream with strawberries = perfection.

31/365

The idea of this photo was stolen from my friend Kathryn who did a similar (and amazingly awesome) black and white version the day of our "bookworm" photo shoot.  I love 'Arry Potta.

Mmm beer.  Sometimes you need a good brew after a terrible terrible day.

29/365

I was in bed well on my way to Snoozeville when I shot up like a rocket!  My picture of the day!  I flipped on the lights, grabbed my camera, and rubbed the already-forming-goobers out of my eyes.  Ahoy.  Book in bed.  One of life's greatest treasures.

My little muse, Lillian, at my co-workers wedding.  She's such a gorgeous doll.
My co-workers know how to produce cutey patooties.

26/365

When I started this project, I wanted to do a self portrait on the 26th of each month (I was born on the 26th so I love the 26th).  Since I'm coming off being sick, I look like hell and don't feel like putting in any effort to take a internet worthy photo...sorry.  So instead you get my favorite feature on me, as well as my favorite feature on others....the eyes.  I've always loved drawing eyes, and notice someone's eye color immediately.  They're so unique.

25/365

Last night's bookworm charm photo inspired some work on my charm bracelet. I've had 4 charms that I haven't been able to attach to my bracelet for over 4 years.  With some genius ideas assisting me and a little help, they're all on.  This is the one productive thing I've done today while home sick.  Other than drink lots of Gatorade.

  • Snowflake
  • Mickey Mouse ears
  • Di
  • Feather
  • Book Worm
  • Graduation Cap
  • Mardi Gras mask
  • Mickey Mouse
  • 4 leaf clover

24/365

Very uninspired to take a photo today, so just grabbed some random things off of my coffee table.  What, you mean you don't have random book worm charms and scrabble pieces to use as a background?  Huh....that's weird....

Home, Home on the Range.
I was home for the weekend. My parents' house is surrounded on all sides by corn (and is in town).  Impressive.

This is the book that I should've been studying all summer long.  Hmmm.... ooops!  Mr. Alien is indicating how much I have let to learn.  ;)  Thanks duder.

I only let myself enjoy a Starbucks beverage once every week or every other week (gotta be budget conscious you know?).  I make sure to get it on days that I really need it because it's guaranteed to put me in a great mood.  To top it all off, they spelled my name right!  No one ever spells my name right.  Because of this it was picture worthy.  Along with my messy desk.  If you look closely, you'll see race finishing times and splits on sticky notes on my monitor.  Motivation yo. :)

In light of today's drama in the state to the east, just wanted to throw out a tribute to my boys.
Go Pack Go.

Edited to add:  If you haven't seen this commercial yet, please do.  I was just told that my obsessive Packers-ness (yes that's a word) reminds the boy of it.  And it's hilarious.

Sorry it's crappy quality, and double sorry that I'm too lazy to embed the video.

What this photo should be of:  a doe and her fawn munching some trees no more than 25 feet away from me.  Since I opted against carrying my camera on my run tonight...

Instead you get:  one of my favorite moscatos (yes in a red wine glass, don't judge) perched on the book I was *oh so excited* to get from the library today How to Photograph Absolutely Everything.  I'm a reader so it only makes sense that I would want to learn via book and trial and error.
